Businesses urged to be vigilant after spate of burglaries

Businesses in mid and west Cornwall are being warned of a spate of burglaries to firms in the area.

Police are advising companies to review their security and remove cash daily after cafés, shops, filling stations and social clubs were targeted.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: “Entry has been gained by force, in some of the reports CCTV has been tampered with.

“In the main cash has been stolen from safes, or the safes have been removed with the contents.”
