A man has been rescued from a flat fire in St Ives.
Firefighters from the town, Penzance, Hayle, St Just, Falmouth and Truro were called to Chapel Street at 3:39pm on Wednesday after a resident reported the blaze.
Crews rescued a man from the flat above The Three Ferrets pub. He was treated for smoke inhalation and left in the care of paramedics. The fire was then extinguished.
A Cornwall Fire and Rescue spokesperson said: “The fire is now out and the Fire Investigation Team are now on scene working with police to ascertain the cause of the fire.”
Chapel Street was closed to traffic while emergency crews worked.
