Four people were taken to hospital after a pub fire in Newlyn on Monday.
Fire crews from Penzance, St Just, Hayle, St Ives, Falmouth, Tolvaddon, Helston, Truro and St Dennis tackled the blaze, which ripped through the Fisherman’s Arms in Fore Street during the early hours of the morning.
Crews used breathing apparatus and hosereel jets to extinguish the fire. Police and ambulance also attended.
The four occupants of the pub were taken to hospital for smoke inhalation.
Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service west command station manager Des O'Connell said: “The growing concern for us was the spread throughout the roof into neighbouring properties. Crews worked tirelessly to prevent that from happening and we’ve managed to save two of the neighbouring cottages.”
Mr O’Connell said a fire investigation was underway.
